However, we understand that sometimes an item may not work out. This Refund and Returns Policy explains how to return an item, what items are eligible, and how refunds are processed.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered.
  • All original tags must still be attached to the garment.
  • The item must be returned within the permitted return period from the date of delivery.
  • Swimwear must have the original hygiene liner still attached.
  • Items marked as Final Sale cannot be returned or exchanged.

We reserve the right to deny a refund if the returned merchandise does not meet these requirements. If an item appears to have been worn, damaged by the customer, or is missing tags, it will be sent back to you.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Final Sale items (clearly marked on the product page)
  • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Items missing original tags or packaging
  • Gift cards (electronic or physical)
  • Items returned beyond the allowed return period

How to Initiate a Return

To return an item, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit http://modernclothing-shop.com/ and log into your account. If you checked out as a guest, use the “Return Portal” link found in your order confirmation email or on our website.
  2. Locate the order containing the item you wish to return.
  3. Select the item and indicate the reason for return.
  4. You will receive a return shipping label via email. If you choose a printerless return option, you may be given a QR code to show at a designated drop-off location.
  5. Pack the item securely in its original packaging (if possible), attach the return label, and drop off the package at the specified carrier location.

Returns initiated through our website can also be processed in person at any of our physical retail locations. Please check our Store Locator on http://modernclothing-shop.com/ for the nearest store. In-store returns are free of charge.

Please note: Returns for orders placed using certain payment methods (such as some digital wallets) cannot be processed in store and must be returned online via our return portal.

Return Period

You have a limited number of days from the delivery date to request a return. Any return request submitted after this period will not be accepted. The return period starts on the day your package is delivered, not on the day you place the order.

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected at our warehouse, we will send you an email notification confirming receipt. Refunds are typically processed within a certain number of business days after the return is approved.

The refund will be issued to your original method of payment. Depending on your bank or credit card issuer, it may take additional business days for the refund to appear on your statement. If you used a gift card for part or all of the purchase, any refund amount will first be credited back to that gift card.

We do not charge a restocking fee for most returns. However, we reserve the right to apply a restocking fee for excessive returns or for items returned in non-original condition.

Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, color, or style, please follow the return process above to send back the original item. Sale Items

Regular sale items (less than a certain discount percentage) may be returned according to this policy. However, items marked as Final Sale — including but not limited to clearance items, items discounted above a certain threshold, and seasonal closeout merchandise — are not eligible for return, exchange, or store credit. No exceptions will be made.

Please read the product description carefully before purchasing any sale item. The Final Sale status is clearly displayed on the product page and during checkout.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped or defective product). The cost of the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund if you use our prepaid label.

If you return an item using your own shipping method, we recommend using a trackable and insured service. We cannot guarantee a refund for items lost or damaged during return transit without proof of delivery.

International Returns

For customers returning items from outside the country where our warehouse is located, please note that you are responsible for all return shipping costs, customs duties, and taxes. We recommend clearly marking the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid additional fees. Original shipping charges are non-refundable for international orders.

Final Sale Items

As stated above, Final Sale items cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded for any reason. This includes:

  • Items discounted at or above a certain percentage off
  • Items labeled “Final Sale” or “Clearance”
  • Gift cards
  • Certain accessories (as noted on the product page)

Please double-check your size and color choice before purchasing any Final Sale item. We do not make exceptions to this policy.
